Maintenance Manager

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and reliability of equipment, machinery, and facilities within the organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of operations, minimizing downtime, and promoting a safe working environment.

Have an excellent working knowledge in all industrial maintenance fields including Mechanical, Welding, hydraulics, Pneumatics, Pipe Fitting and Electrical as well as Process and Flow Control Systems.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of all equipment. Confirm the effective and efficient resolution of problems regarding the machinery/equipment. Plan for and take immediate corrective actions to make certain corrections and adjustments are completed to maintain maximum production and quality.

  • Develop, design, and implement machine updates to solve issues and enhance production.

  • Schedule and ensure preventive maintenance checks are completed on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Schedule upgrades or repairs. Inspect all equipment after repairs or adjustments.

  • Ensure all start-up and shut down of equipment shall be in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and with OSHA requirements.

  • Motivate maintenance staff by communicating job expectations. Plan, monitor, and appraise job results. Coach, counsel, and discipline employees. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Complete maintenance plan by effectively scheduling and assigning personnel Establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules. resolve problems.

  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.

  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources. Maintain compliance with established policies, procedures, Federal and National Codes

  • Ensure the proper inventory of parts and “critical spare parts” are available for the building and machinery.

  • Help initiate contact, and work with contracted service providers as necessary. Take the lead in purchasing new capital investments, improvements to machinery, and any necessary expansion of building. Maintain and purchase all inventory needed to maintain all machines, buildings, and grounds.

  • Develop and execute both repair and supply budgets.

  • Provide a Monthly Maintenance Report to the Operations Manager.

  • Any and All duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possession of at least a high school diploma or GED is required. 2 or 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience in electrical, industrial electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, HVAC, welding is preferred. Previous Maintenance Supervisory Experience. Valid state motor vehicle license.

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must work effectively with divergent types of people. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent Computer skills, PLC use and knowledge of programming.
